Information for International

Since Deaf Village Ireland opened in August 2012, it has attracted huge interest from around the globe. Many Deaf and hearing people from all around the world have been very interested in our project. We have had visitors from nearly every country. We still continue to welcome visitors to visit our spectacular centre.

Deaf Village Ireland is an inclusive state- of –the- art facility which incorporates sports, social, religious, heritage, information, administration, educational, community and cultural services for the benefit of Deaf, hard of hearing and hearing people.

Deaf Village Ireland is an exciting community development which was actively sought by Deaf people in Ireland. Deaf Village Ireland has been designed and built to international specifications and is situated on a 25 acre site on the Ratoath Road, Cabra, Dublin 7. The site is also occupied by St Joseph’s School and Residence for Deaf boys. It is also the site for the new Primary Care Medical Centre which opened in March 2015. Deaf Village Ireland has a standalone Inspire fitness Centre, which is also of benefit to the Cabra area.

The Catholic Institute for Deaf people (CIDP) owns the freehold of the entire site. They have contributed this land as part of its equity stake in the development. The Board of Deaf Village Ireland includes representatives from each organisation within the Village. There are twelve different organisations working together to benefit the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing people.
