Christmas in Deaf Village Ireland
Wednesday, December 5, 2012
Con Lynch was elected to put on the Christmas tree lights on in the Village for the First time on the 11th December. Some came in their Christmas costumes, while others wore their Christmas hats. A huge crowd gathered to see and listen to the Deaf choir signing their Christmas hymns. There was a lovely atmosphere and afterwards there were sandwiches, tea and cake for all.
On Thursday 20th December Inspire Fitness staff and all the organizations met together in the Atrium of the Village for Homemade Christmas pudding and tea. Approximately 30 people came and joined in on the festive occasion.
The Day center had their Christmas bingo in the village, while a lot of Deaf people dressed up in their Christmas outfits for the occasion.
