Irish Deaf Channel Swimmers’s Dog Show in Deaf Village Ireland
Monday, August 19, 2013
On Saturday, 17th of August 2013, The Irish Deaf Channel Swimmers organised a dog show which was held at Deaf Village Ireland. In July 2014, the seven ladies will be taking on the Channel swim challenge. This will be done in the form of a reply team of seven women in aid of the Irish Deaf Women’s Group. They will swim from Dover to France – fantastic challenge!
The Dog Show was a massive success with a very good numbers of people and also dogs – there were 48 dogs at the show! This is probably the first Deaf’s Dog show in the Deaf Community! The atmosphere was fantastic although everyone stayed in the field. There was a mixture of sunshine and showers. There were various types of competitions such as clever large dogs and much more. The members of RSCPA were the judges for the show. Well done to everyone who was involved with the competition. Such a lovely day with people from the Deaf community coming together!
Also well done to the committee of the Irish Deaf Channel Swimmers for organizing this fantastic event!
On the 24th of August 2013, their next challenge is to take a swim along the River Liffey in Dublin City. We, Deaf Village Ireland, encourage you to support them for this good cause.
