Deaf Community – Feedback Session
Thursday, October 3, 2013
On Thursday, 3rd of October 2013, the board and the team of Deaf Village Ireland invited the Deaf community in Ireland to attend their feedback session. It’s been a year sense Deaf Village Ireland opened their door to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people from the Deaf community and we are keen to find out from people how they are getting on with Deaf Village Ireland since it’s opening.
Forty people attended covering all age groups, young and old, and it was a great turnout for our feedback session. Damian Barry, the Chairperson of Deaf Village Ireland, opened the meeting along with the board of directors and members of staff. They explained further on why they needed the feedback and comments from the Deaf community. They focused on three different questions, asking people.
- The Last Year – What was good?
- The Last Year – What has been difficult?
- Future – What do we need to attend to?
We would like to take time to say many thanks to everybody who attended our feedback session. Our feedback session has helped us a lot to improve the standards of our services for the Deaf community over the next few years.
